A 13,000 square foot boathouse sits on the Lower Otay Lake reservoir with a private boat dock. The boathouse features two bays for canoe, kayak and rowing boat storage as well as men’s and women’s locker rooms. A 3,000-meter course is marked on the lake with buoys and the lake is available every day of the week, but reserved exclusively for athlete use on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.
U.S. Rowing National Team members train here throughout each winter to escape colder weather. Training camps for collegiate-level teams through international competitors can be hosted on the lake.
